In other news..

I went to Megan-tachi 's (which is Japanese for Megan 'n'em) to make care packages for the troops in Iraq today. I brought some soap and I drew a cheesy picture. Christine's friend Jason came and told us about what it was like serving in Iraq. I remembered meeting him and one of his friends at a Thursday prayer meeting. It was memorable because the date was January 20- President Bush's inaguration. It was interesting hearing about that event from the point of view of people in the military. Well, tonight was interesting too. I laughed, I was sobered, and I realized that these troops aren't superheroes but real people. More importantly, these are people my age- 18, 19, 20. That's crazy, how completely different our lives are. I'd write something prolific but I'm really sleepy. I think I'll turn in now.
