A nice way to spend the evening...

I just came back from another CRU function- the semiannual prayer service. Let me explain my state of mind when I left for this service. I had been slacking off all afternoon, as I do on Fridays. I decided to lie down for a few minutes. Next thing I know, it's dark and I'm drooling all over myself...I'm suddenly exhausted and my eyes are completely bloodshot. I wanted to go back to bed. But I felt a little niggling to go to this thing, so I had just enough time to grab my keys and head to Currell. I'm really glad I went. We sang worship songs and prayed for CRU, the campus, and each other. (And I asked my friends to pray for Lou, too, so I was thinking about you, girl!) 2 hours were gone before I knew it, and I felt strangely refreshed and emotionally drained at the same time. It's kinda like how I feel after singing at Reunion; not holding back and giving God everything I've got is really exhausting emotionally, but it's worth it. But I was thinking on the way back to my dorm about it, and I haven't prayed for more than 30 minutes in a long time. It was also good praying about a different group of people than I usually do. It kinda widened my scope on things. I said a quick prayer as I lingered on the steps of my dorm: "You know, we should do this more often."
