Love Will Make You Beautiful (Warning: warm fuzzies or indigestion ahead)

I was going to write about this yesterday like I said, but...

I'm a lazy bum. But you know this.

Anyway, the title of my post is also the title of a nice little ditty (i like that word) by the Afters. I like the CD better now that I've actually written the lyrics down and ruminated over them. I'm gonna end up rather prejudiced about Christian music if I don't check myself, but that's another story.

But anyway. The lyrics are really simple, so you have to kinda figure out what it means to you.
Here's a verse and chorus:

To me, this song says that if you're feeling jaded about life, there's only one thing to do. Open your heart and let love smash you over the head. Whether it be from God, family, or friends, when you really receive the love that's out there for you, it'll be second nature for you to give that love in return. And then life will be beautiful, and that simple fact will make you glow like Christmas lights. And that glow, my friend, will make you lovelier than any ballroom gown or Armani suit could make you. I know, because I'm surrounded by beautiful people. And that makes me feel beautiful too.

I think that's why I'm always smiling. Even when I'm all alone, I feel loved. And I can't help but glow.
