Yes! I will post a real post today! The past few weeks have been a little rough, to say the least, and I didn't want to be depressing. *looks back at last few posts* Okay, cynical, but not depressing. You know me, I tend to blow things out of proportion, so it's really not so bad.
I went shopping with my sister for her birthday last weekend. We went to Columbia Place, which is a really big deal for us hick people, and reveled in shopping. I was doing really good. I went to Old Navy and bought a turquoise sweater. Then I bought a lavender tank. I said to myself, "I must buy something that is not pink for this fall."
And then we went to Claire's. The first thing I saw was this big pink cowboy hat. It was my favorite shade of pink. Do you know how impossible it is to find my exact favorite shade of pink? And it had a tiara stuck in the front, just before the brim started...
I caved. There was no use trying to resist.
The only problem is, it's one of those hats you can't wear in the rain, because it'll be ruined. It was a completely frivolous buy on my part.
But it was so cute... So I don't care.
My mommy tried making lemon jelly rolls yesterday...but the roll dough was acting weird, so it came out as more of a lemon biscuit thingy... It was really good, though. And then the other half was supposed to be cinnamon rolls, but my mommy didn't have any raisins...so she used cut up prunes, so we got cinnamon prune biscuit...thingies.
My daddy couldn't get enough of them. He loves prunes. Cause he's an old geezer.
I got a new CD last week- The Revolution by Inhabited. Awesome CD. I preordered it, so I got it autographed. I looked at the insert and said, "Eeeee! That's real silver Sharpie!!" I thought it'd be a copy or something. Anyway, they're a really good band musically, although a couple of the endings of the songs seem a little awkward, like they're trying to do something different than you'd expect, but they don't really know what to do. But it is their first label release, after all (they did an indie EP last year). And Sara Acker's vocals are quite pleasing. Strangely, when she really punches her voice, she sounds like a rocker Crystal Lewis. It's freaky...but anyway, this band definitely fills the void left in my heart by the Benjamin Gate. So I am happy.
Finally got around to looking at the new Shack website. Love the splash. I watched the Shack apartment and the peoples I lurv appear in enraptured awe. The wonders of modern technology...
Well, I'm off to go do...something. I've been so bored since the the thing that holds Baby's strings split and now my sixth string's like half a note off. It's driving me insane, but the thing's plastic, so it can be replaced. But now I'm gonna go twiddle my thumbs or something. Au revoir...
