My train of thought

My apartment is teeny.

I'm not complaining, the location is prime (right on the Horseshoe), but there's just enough room for all my crap and space to walk. It's homey, though, and much easier to choke the interior with my motley pink-colored possessions. And it's mine. When you have to share a room all summer, the apartment-style dorms are so a breath of fresh air.

I think I've said maybe 15 words to my roommate since I moved in three days ago. It's funny. She's always gone in the daytime, I've been gone at night...speaking of, the Acoustic Challenge was so fun last night. Jessica won, and she was so happy. The 5o bucks is going to definitely help her out. There was this spiritual evaluation that was so mean because all the results were horrible, but true in a way. Mine was, at least. The results ranged from "Hey, You're a Pagan!" to "You've Been Bible-Belted". I know cause I pilfered a copy of all the results before I left. Cause I'm a closet klepto.

I got "Christian-Cultured", as did a lot of my buds. It was hilarious because some of it was so true. I'll reproduce what it said here:

"You probably own a lot of Christian T-shirts and a copy of The Purpose-Driven Life. In your memory, there was definitely a point in time when you had a dramatic conversion experience. Since then you've likely segregated yourself from a lot of secular influence and your non-Christian friends, unless you're sharing your faith. Your faith is genuine, but may be overly-programmed by Christian trends, such as books, music, conferences, and youth-oriented ministries. You come off pretty certain about spiritual matters, plagiarizing the opinions and practices of Christian celebrities. Though Christian culture leads to your conversation, it may now be a liability."

Ah, I still remember the days when I used to whisper "secular music" like it was a bad word... I think Beth brought that up last night. Speaking of...after the Acoustic Challenge, a group of us girls (and Matt Jones, who we almost made an honorary girl before thinking better of it) went to Yesterday's just to hang out and share appetizers. It was my first time at Yesterday's, and it was pretty good. I liked the crab dip with brown bread (it looked very classy), but I liked the cheese fries the best (can't take the country out of the girl). On the way back, Brittany Jo and Kayla shared Jones' iPod and made up a dance to "Don't Phunk With My Heart" before regaling us with several other selections. Jennifer, I will take you there someday...so I can torture you with the glorious loud rock music they were playing in there. Heh heh heh...

Speaking of treating people...Jones is working at Miyo's now. And he went and told us that if we come in during his shift, we get a 15% discount- and not by shafting his boss, believe it or not. Oh, man, I love Miyo's...if you've never been, you should go. During Jones' shift.

Dangit, I made myself hungry. I think I'll go to Einstein Bros. or something...ciao! *blows kiss*
