There's a grasshopper stalking me...

On Thursday, I was on my merry way walking out of my apartment when I saw a giant grasshopper (at least 6 inches long and fat) perched in the window above the front door. "Hmm, I hope it doesn't jump on my head," I thought, and went to class, not thinking about it anymore.

Yesterday, I came back from class and was greeted by the same grasshopper by the stairwell, looking straight at me. "Aww, the poor thing must be trapped in here," I thought. "I'd let it out...if I wasn't so scared it's gonna jump on my head."

And today, I trudged out of my room to get some lunch, and guess who's perched on the doorframe of the room across from mine, defying gravity? Yup. The grasshopper. I'm flattered, but disturbed. Tomorrow it will be at my door, confessing its love.

In related news, yesterday was the second time I've been horrified to look in the mirror because my hair is a giant poofy ball of fro and I don't have a spot of makeup on...and some random person stopped me on the street and told me I was pretty. I'm not sure what to make of that...

In other, unrelated news, I wrote my first song since my mini-crisis a year and a half ago. It's my happy song. I think I'll play it for my Bible study girls on Monday, and of course Lou and 'em...if I ever get ahold of Lou. She's been tired lately. Best let her get her rest before she becomes scary...hee hee.
