Random things that make me smile...

The iPod nation might be shifting... Over winter break, I heard several stories about how earbuds can totally destroy your hearing over time, mostly if it's turned up really loud since they're so close to your eardrums. Anyway, I know people who've opted for larger, old-school headphones to save their hearing...and lately, I've been seeing people who've taken the same route I have. I bought noise-isolating earbuds in...probably November, which might seem like it makes things worse, but it has the opposite effect. After getting rid of a lot of outside noise, I don't have to turn my iPod up so much. It's almost always only a quarter of the way turned up or less, as opposed to halfway with my old earbuds. Plus, my new ones have awesome bass. :D They did not come cheap, though...I got cheap ones that let a little bit of sound still in, and they cost 40 bucks. The good ones are at least 100.

Ooh, this is funny funny...my professor was about to show us a video clip in class today, and some wires got crossed, cause instead of hearing one of those old guys from 60 Minutes, the screen was dark and we heard a woman's voice saying, "I'm going to fight for the man I love." Then the video came up and it was a soap opera. XD Awesome...

And then when we finished watching the clip, and like 10 minutes later, in the middle of the professor's lecture, some audio cut him off. It was a male voice with a Texas accent, talking about getting your life in order. We immediately started laughing, cause everybody knew who it was even before the video came on.

Not everyone can say Dr. Phil interrupted your college class lecture. I love technology... :D
