One of those is Princess Tutu.
I don't know why I like this anime. It's about a sort of superheroine who saves her beloved prince from bad people by...dancing with them. First Mermaid Melody with the mermaids beating the crap out of people by singing, and now this. Although come to think of it, that does make more sense when you think about it...to me, anyway...In that respect, it's one of those shows you're afraid to say you like.
But I couldn't resist! I mean, look at her! She's so cute with her little frilly tutu and the dancing and things...awwww!
And the craziest thing is, she's really a ordinary girl who's really a duckie!!! Eeeee!!! That's so cuuuute!!
According to Wikipedia, it's supposed to eventually become a complex, fascinating story. And it does have a beautiful soundtrack, using themes from famous classical ballets. I can definitely see potential for this already, as Princess Tutu slowly finds pieces of her prince's heart and gives them back to him, emotion by emotion... Plus, it's kinda tragic, because if Tutu ever confesses her love to her prince, she's doomed to disappear in a flash of light... But right now, all I see is pretty tutus...and Neko-Sensei (the ballet instructor)...
Yeah...Neko-Sensei's kinda weird...for punishment, he threatens to marry the poor little girls...with that face. Uh....complex story, yeah. I'll let you know if that ever comes to pass... :D
