DJ Pinkies lives!

Yesterday, I listened to my Launchcast station for the first time in a month or so. For those who aren't familiar with it, Launchcast is a group of streaming radio stations done by Yahoo! Music, formerly known as Launch. Some are your basic genre stations like Today's Big Hits and Modern Rock, but most are member stations created and maintained by normal folks like yours truly. Although I can't exactly pick when a song will play, I can choose how often it plays or if it plays at all using a rating system. At first, it's really frustrating because you will end up with a lot of crap playing, but by the time you rate about 500 songs, you rarely get a song you just all-out hate. I've rated about 1500 songs, so I'm pretty satisfied with my station. And it plays a lot of songs that I don't personally have, so I'm a happy girl. It's fun being my own DJ.

If you're wondering what a Liza station sounds like (and you have a Yahoo! ID lying around somewhere), click the link below. Be warned, however: it's mostly rock, but there's no telling what kind of genre will play. And yes, there will probably be pop. Candy pop. This is my Recently Played list(the 4-star songs, anyway):

The District Sleeps Alone Tonight- The Postal Service
January- Bonnie McKee
Intro- Kirk Franklin
Psalm 150- J Moss
What I Thought I Wanted- Sara Groves
Exodus '04- Utada
B- Pinback
Beautiful- Bethany Dillon
Believe Me Natalie- The Killers
Danger Zone- Gwen Stefani
Frozen- Madonna
Gateway(Mike Rizzo Club Edit)- Becky Baeling
