First, several disclaimers about the previous post:
1. I am underage and I obey the law. I have not had a drop of alcohol in my life.
2. Okay, yes I do wear all black sometimes. And I do own a pair of hooker boots. But...
3. Me smoking a cigar? Can you picture that?
4. I love men too much to become a nun.
5. I only cuss in my head.
6. I'm scared of the crazy drunks who scream outside my window.
7. I love everyone I grin and giggle with. Although this only applies to my giggle giggle and not my social giggle.
8. Jump off the roof? Why would you even think I would ever consider doing something that potentially painful?
9. I like squirrels. Disturbing but true.
10. I'm not even touching the last one.
11. IT WAS APRIL FOOLS' DAY! I WAS KIDDING!!
I just want to make sure that's clear. I almost got assaulted over that post, but that's another story... Anyway, today was interesting. I spent my whole day helping Lou's boss Mimi move out of this huge house along with a bevy of other Shackers. So it definitely wasn't boring. There was stuffing of chests with towels (by males), male grunting, girly tittering, and sniffing of tape guns. And there was also the birth of the phrase "mind your grapes", but I'm not going there. I blame the pizza. It was drugged. Either that or the dust was making us all tipsy.
The title for my post comes from something Matt Cabbil (#5) said to me today. I was surrounded by cardboard boxes and bubble wrap, packing crystal glasses, and I was pretty much obscured from view. He said to me, "I was going to write about this in my blog: being knee-deep in life." Packing Mimi's stuff was like getting a small peek into her life, and I got to do it surrounded by people I love being with. I love how we filled that house with laughter. Yup, I'll have to agree. I was knee-deep in life today.
