That is what I thought walking home from the Strom, trying to keep my pitiful little umbrella from breaking in the wind. (I'm serious, I went through 3 umbrellas like that last year...) Back home, it rained just about every day for two-and-a half weeks during the summer. Everything just kinda shuts down, and everyone sits in the hallway quietly until the storm passes, even if the power's still on. The lightning always strikes the phone. It makes a little ding like a half-ring every time. So it's kinda like...FLASHcowerBOOOM!ding!
Anyway, I went to a mini-Pilates class today. My real classes start tomorrow. I love Pilates. We listn to sleepy jazz music and pretend to swim. And of course, it was mostly girls. I pictured some of my male friends doing Pilates and laughed my head off. The whole thing is kinda like synchronized swimming without the water. You can feel it working, but I'm not sore when I get back. I think I've found the right program for me. Yay.
Oh, yeah, on my way back, in the pouring rain, I saw a fire truck going by...with the sirens on and everything. Totally ironic... *goes to hum Alanis*

Yeah, I know how you feel. I had to park at the Collisium today after work and walk back to the other side of campus in the rain. Oh, I forgot to put my just-in-case rain jacket in my back pack. Not fun!
