I'm alive, I'm alive...

I just found this new song...I subscribe to this Christian indie rock show that's on podcast, and sometimes I'm just like bleh about the songs... But I heard this awesome song by a band called Flyleaf a few minutes ago, and I was just blown away. And luckily, their CD's on iTunes, so I got my coveted song. It's called All Around Me, and the vocals are really passionate and the guitars are sometimes subdued and sometimes pumping, just the way I like it. The song also reminds me kinda of one of my all-time favorite songs, "All Over Me" by the Benjamin Gate. It's like that song with more complex lyrics and a slightly louder background, but the tune's completely different, of course.

I'll post the lyrics, since I likes them. And I'm off to wail, "I'm alive! I'm alive..." some more...hee.

Update: Looked up Flyleaf's whole album...it's okay. It's kinda all over the place, but that's probably because the CD is made up of songs from their two EP's and five new songs, so they were all written at different times. The only other song that seems to grab me is "I'm So Sick." It's got a cool hook, and Flyleaf's lead singer is the only girl I've ever heard do a metal-scream. That was kind of cool... Oh, and Flyleaf's a Christian band like P.O.D's a Christian band...kinda in that the members are Christian, but not Christian as in blatant genre Christian, you know? In fact, they just finished touring with P.O.D and Staind, and they've toured with Saliva. Right now they're touring with Seether...so yeah.
