The state of my mind today...part 2.

Two words: PANDA TOWERRR!!

...Yeah...I really need to take a nap today.

Everyone should have a sheep pillow.

Sheep pillows= love.

Yes, every button and bar on my computer is pink.

The brand of said pillow is "Fuwawa Mori"...Fluffy Forest.

I'm half dead right now...therefore not talkative. Someday I will write a real post.

...Someday.

I just finished drying my hair, so it is now a black half-straight, half-fuzzy cotton ball sitting on my head. But it's comfy. I have the strange desire to leave it like this for some reason...but something tells me if a friend comes over and I answer the door looking like Diana Ross, I will permanently scar said friend.

...I am letting you know in advance. I'm going to go down my Facebook list and poke every last one of my friends (except those few strange people that I don't really know and I wonder now why I even added them...). For no good reason. No matter how long it takes.

...I really need to upload those pictures.

...And talk about Kyoto.

....Buuut I better not until the weekend. I should be studying right now, after all.

...I will put it on my planner so that I'm serious about this this time.

...Really.

I liiiive!

...Just wanted to say that. That's what it feels like coming out of this week. It's not so much that I was busier this week as that my sleeping patterns got thrown off and I haven't had a decent night's sleep all week. Sleeping till 8 was a good feeling. :)

Oh, I went on a mad shopping spree on allofmp3 the other day...see, I went there for the sole purpose of snagging "Paranoid Android" by Radiohead (I love that song...ironically, I first heard it on an anime. Ergo Proxy...makes little sense to me, but I still love it.).

Then I heard "Idioteque", which I ironically first heard on an AMV (anime music video, where people manipulate scenes from an anime to go with a song. They can come out really cool or really funny.), and I had to get that too.

Then I felt nostalgic, so I bought the first pop song I ever actively listened to ("Sunny Came Home" by Shawn Colvin) and "Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?" by Paula Cole (I don't know why the heck I love that song so much, but I doodly doodly do).... I got "Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heap and "Krwlng" (a remix of "Crawling") by Linkin Park, too.

...Then I saw that John Mayer's new CD was out. So 5 songs from there... ("Bold as Love" is probably my favorite...although I like "I Can't Trust Myself (With Loving You) too. Actually, I like all 5 songs I got a whole lot.) His sound's a little different this time around...he's definitely been influenced by the John Mayer Trio thing he did, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

...Then I saw that Evanescence's new album was out, so 9 songs from there... (still as depressing as ever, although the last song comes very, creepily close to almost happy...but doesn't make it, of course. "Lithium" is probably my favorite, although I like "Like You" a lot too, although that's a really, really, REALLY depressing song...I mean, seriously...Evanescence should not be allowed to write about death. They're already depressing enough...)

....Then I saw that The Killers' new CD was out.

So of course, I had to get the whole CD. I reaaaally like the Killers. "For Reasons Unknown" is definitely my favorite song on this CD. It sounds pretty much the same as Hot Fuss, which makes me happy.

Graaaaah....pbbbt.

I have no idea why I wrote that. And I don't care. Hee hee hee. Today, I was supposed to do some homework that I didn't really need to do until tomorrow but would make me feel special if I started on it early. Didn't happen. I freaked out because my debit card went missing. Thankfully, by the miracles of technology, I was able to check my account online and no one has taken a shopping spree with my money yet. I'm pretty sure it's in my room...somewhere... I've been looking for it all day. I can't report it lost until Monday, so I'll keep looking until then. I'm surprisingly calm about the whole thing. It's just my leftover scholarship money in that particular account, anyway, so it's not really mine mine to begin with.

Today was yummy. I almost wore my pink dress with very little cloth at the top, but I was too lazy to change my clothes. Instead, I walked down Greene Street for no reason. I ended up buying buffalo wings. I am obsessed with buffalo wings. The hotter, the better. And no, I would not lick Jones' foot for $45 worth of them. I'd be sorely tempted, but no.

I went to Jammin' Java with Lou tonight. We sat at the table/counter where you have to sit Indian-style. I felt my old-lady legs creak as I bodily tugged them into submission. We had cafe latte cheesecake. Mmmm....heeheeheeheehee...*drooling* We talked about summer. I don't wanna think about the summer. I'll be glad class is over, but I'm a lazy bum who doesn't wanna work. And then I heard the Seder meal was awesome...waaah...it wasn't my fault I had to go to that thing for class...

One more thing...am I the only one who finds that Burger King commercial with Darius Rucker disturbing? The following pretty sums up my opinion on the subject: Boondocks Comic

Hootie, Hootie, Hootie. Oh, how the mighty have fallen...

Actions worthy of treason...?

All right, here is my confession. Tonight I went to...Ben and Jerry's.

Dum dum dum.

I can hear the Marble Slab addicts screaming for my blood as we speak.

I had Dublin Mudslide. And it was good.

Bwa haa haa haa haaaaaa!

Geez...

You're not going to believe this, but now my neck is acting up. However, this is normal. I was in a school bus accident two years ago, and my neck acts up every now and then because of it. It doesn't really hurt, it's just somewhat stiff, which is just annoying. Maybe I'm unconsciously trying to feel Lou's pain from last week. Either that or this is payback for me telling Matt Callis he's old all the time. But he is old...he pays people to starch his shirts, for goodness' sake. I thought you were cool, man... Or maybe David is right. GASP! I REALLY AM AN OLD MAN!!! WAAAAHHHH!!!! CURSE THOSE BLUEBERRY MUFFINS!!!!

But anyway. Today was nice. I got the itinerary today, and I know almost everybody going on Shack on the Rox, so it's definitely going to be a sweet time. And I got full credit on my book report in Afro-American Studies, so yay, small victory dance. woot woot! I checked my campus mailbox for the first time in a month, and I had a bunch of junk and 5 credit card offers. To which I retorted, "I will never be dragged into your cesspool of debt, foul plastic!!!"

Man, I am abusing the exclamation points tonight. But I had orange soda. Me likeys orange soda muchy. See, this is why I rarely drink coffee. If this is how I act with soda, imagine me with coffee pumping through my veins...Not pretty. You know, that's probably why most of the Shackers are crazy...coffee is almost synonymous with the Shack. Along with American Eagle and iPods, but that's another story.

MY LITTLE PONY PWNS ALL!!!!

Nope, that's not a typo. It's an online term. But anyway...

MY LITTLE PONY IS OUT ON DVD!!!!!!

Yes, I know I'm the only one who cares, and most of you weren't aware My Little Pony even had a cartoon (heck, they had a movie, people!) but it doesn't matter. That cartoon shaped my childhood. I want it. I want the adventures of those happy little ponies in Flutter Valley, frolicking and eating grass and stuff. I have the song on my iPod, along with a bunch of other cartoon themes I found today. You don't know how fun it is looking up old cartoons you used to love on the Internet and then finding out there's people even more obsessed with them than you are.

So far I have the themes to:

My Little Pony (the actual theme song, the theme to My Little Pony and Friends, and this song called Nature in Harmony by these half tone-deaf people in the show)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the first one, not the one on now)
Tiny Toon Adventures
Darkwing Duck (I got the video of this one, heh)
Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers (extended version, too)
Ducktales
Pinky and the Brain

I'm going to have to post the lyrics to these things sometime, cause they're hilarious. Now, I'll bid you adieu with this page of every single one of Darkwing Duck's entrance lines. My personal favorites are "I am the surprise in your cereal box" and "I am the low point on your sine wave". Darkwing is awesome.

But My Little Pony still pwns all.

Cushy Room!

I decided to possibly skip class to go sign up for honors housing (my appointment was at 10:30, class is at 11:15), since I got a really early time in the lottery and I didn't want to waste it. First I got lost, but it was okay 'cause I kinda knew where Blossom Street was and Poddy was like, "Chill. All these streets connect eventually." Then it went back to "So I'm breaking the habit, I'm breaking the habit, tonight".

I don't want to hear it. I am under the influence of Sprite. Lemon-lime bubbles make me crazy.

Anyway, I finally made it to the Housing office, and I scanned the openings wall for Desaussure, where I wanted to live. Would you believe there was just one left? On the first floor at that! Sweetness. I snatched it up and gave it to the guy who was doing assignments, and he says, "Man, that was fast." To which I hem and haw, smiling and saying, "Yeah, well..." as I'm prone to doing when I'm embarrassed. But I was happy, so it does not matter.

So now I have a cushy room to look forward to next year. Now, all I have to worry about is the new roommate...

Ten Reasons Why You Should Still Watch Cartoons (or maybe good reasons why you shouldn't)

1. "Everything's going tutti-frutti!"
-Numbuh 4 of Codename: Kids Next Door, lying on the ground after being hit by an ice-cream gun

2. "Nobody touches the Rainbow Monkey Lisa!!"
-Numbuh 3, in righteous anger at the attempted defacing of a macaroni painting

3. "Clowns hate oranges! It messes with their equilibrium!"
-Billy of The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, armed with oranges everywhere (including two up his nose). He really doesn't like clowns.

4. "Mama say, Mama so, Mamacosa!"
-Grim (the Grim Reaper) building up his mojo...while doing this hybrid of the Cabbage Patch...and he's saying this in a Carribean lilt...

5. "Everybody has an inner frat boy...(burp)"
-Billy's inner frat boy, who has on a T-shirt with Greek letters. They are talking in Billy's mind on a red pencil outline of a couch, kinda like Elmo's World. And don't ask me how I know what Elmo's World looks like.

6. "Billy, the apple wouldn't pick you if you were a booger."
- Grim on the Apple of Discord, which turns people into bad things. Like toilets.

7. "Billy, you gonna let that scrub take your banana?"
-Billy's talking burrito. Yes, I said talking burrito. And they're actually talking about the Apple of Discord. Why he and Billy think it's a banana is beyond me.

8. "Holy guacamole, folks! This is where it gets off the hook!"
-Billy's talking burrito again, commentating on the fight that ensues over the Apple of Discord. Or banana. Did I mention he spills beef out of his...mouth every time he talks?

9. "Why, Sandy?!! Why are you torturing these poor innocent rainbow monkeys?!"
- Numbuh 4, who is a prisoner of King Sandy, this mean little kid who puts stuffed monkeys n medieval torture machines. Numbuh 4 is obsessed with rainbow monkeys.

10. "This is not just a gym bag, Double-D. This is a way of life."
-Ed talking to Edd about Eddy's really smelly gym bag. And the show is called Ed, Edd, and Eddy. I think I should just stop there.

I drink a lot.

Water, people. Water. You sick-minded people, you should know I would never do anything illegal...Well, get caught, anyway.

But seriously. Water is awesome. Don't those people on the Aquafina commercials look happy? And they should! Hey, it's my favoritest beverage! I feel like playing the accordion or something!

Aquafina commercial (click drink! drink! drink!, then click it again)
